Washington Street Safety precautions will require NO PARKING on either side of Washington Street from Bluff Road to MO Highway 45. This will begin at 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on both Saturday, October 2, and Sunday, October 3, 2021.
Spring Street will be two-way traffic from Washington Street to Main Street, and one-way heading East from Main Street to Cherry Street, beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, and Sunday, October 3, 2021.
Cherry Street in the 600 block will be one-way NORTH from Spring Street to Walnut Street beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, and Sunday, October 3, 2021. Parking for those who reside in this block will be on the West side of the street facing North.
Welt Street will be one-way traffic NORTH from Short Street to MO Highway 45, with NO PARKING on both sides of the street beginning at 7:00 a.m., and ending at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, and Sunday, October 3, 2021.
Short Street will be NO PARKING on both sides of the street beginning at 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, and Sunday, October 3, 2021.
Main Street Alley in the 400 and 500 blocks between Market Street and Short Street will be one-way going NORTH beginning at 6:00 a.m., and ending at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, and Sunday, October 3, 2021. NO PARKING OR STANDING IN THE ALLEYS. This is an EMERGENCY ROUTE for police, fire, and medical personnel.
Thomas Street from Main Street to Blackhawk Street will be closed to traffic. ALL VEHICLES MUST BE REMOVED BY 5:00 P.M. ON FRIDAY. OCTOBER 1. Parking will resume on Sunday, October 3, 2021 after 6:00 p.m. Thomas Street from Main Street to both alleyways in the 600 blocks will be closed to all traffic, and there will be no parking beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 1, to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 3, 2021.
Market Street from Blackhawk Street to Welt Street will be reserved for Handicap Parking only beginning at 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 1, to 6 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2021.
Main Street from Market Street to Short Street (400 and 500 blocks) must have all vehicles removed by 10:00 p.m. on Friday, October 1, until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 3, 2021.
THERE WILL BE NO OVERNIGHT PARKING IN THE CITY PARKING LOTS OR THE BANK PARKING LOT ON THOMAS STREET BEGINNING FRIDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2021, AT 5:00 P.M. ALL VEHICLES LEFT UNATTENDED WILL BE TOWED AT THE OWNER’S EXPENSE BY 6:00 A.M. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 2, 2021.
These changes in traffic direction and parking will help provide a safe 2021 Apple Fest Event. I apologize for the inconvenience this will impose on those who reside in these areas.
