Board of Adjustment
Purpose

Pursuant to RSmo 89.010 to 89.140 and the City of Weston ordinances, the Board of Adjustment is the body established to:

  • hear and decide appeals where it is alleged there is an error to any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by the Mayor in the enforcement of a new zoning ordinance.
  • decide on applications by landowners to permit buildings or land uses which vary from the zoning regulations.
  • interpret unclear provisions in the zoning ordinance for the purposes of variation
The Board of Adjustment consists of five members that are appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Board of Aldermen to staggered 5 year terms. The board elects their own Chairman and Vice Chairman annually. The board meets when called upon by the Chairman or when other times that the board may determine.
