Building permit applications are available by request at City Hall, or for printing at home and bring to City Hall,    For cosmetic changes in the Historic Building District, please request an historic district building permit.
Building Permit Submission Requirements

Physical copies of the following must be signed and sealed by a registered design professional and then submitted in order to obtain a building permit:

  • Site Plan
  • Plot Plan
  • Plumbing Plans
  • Electrical Plans
  • Mechanical Plans
  • Structural Plans
  • Decks & Gazebos - Structural Plans

All must be signed and stamped by registered design professional
Residential permits will require a minimum of seven (7) business days for review prior to granting approval.  Commercial permits will require a minimum of thirty (30) business days for review prior to granting approval.

Plan Checking Fee: When it is deemed necessary by the Administrative Officer to employ a person or firm to determine compliance with the provisions of Chapter 500, the cost of the plan review and inspection to determine compliance shall be paid by the permit holder in the amount of $150.00 on top of any necessary permit fees.
